This Hanauke vase from Kikime can charm your home by arranging flowers and storing small items such as keys and accessories.
The combination of porcelain and cypress creates a comfortable, unconventional appearance like a beautiful painting.
The tray made of cypress serves as a saucer and can be easily removed. It can hold fallen leaves and petals to create a unique decoration. You can also place it at the door entrance and serve it as a key plate. Each is made in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is carefully finished by artisans specialising in delicate work. It is not a simple flat and thin plate, but with details adjusted so it does not wobble and has a stable shape.
The shape of the base with a narrow mouth makes it easy to arrange a single flower or branch. The vase body is made in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan's major pottery centre, where the glaze texture was created.
The colour of the tray is handpicked and matched by each artisan according to the colour of the vase base to create balance for the user.
The charm of Hanauke is the attention to detail and the combination of two different but beautiful materials.
As every?piece?has its handmade feature, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
