This crystal glass is made by Satoshi Nabetani, a Master of traditional crafts in Japan. It features narcissuses on a green backdrop.
Mr Nabetani uses a thin layer of green-coloured crystal glass placed on top of colourless, transparent crystal glass. With cutting and gravure sculpting, the lower layer of colourless, transparent crystal glass emerges, creating a vivid contrast with the coloured crystal glass layer to make for a beautiful object, portraying imagery of the "Narcissus". The most beautiful scene can be seen by looking down above the glass.
