This crystal glass is made by Satoshi Nabetani, a Master of traditional crafts in Japan. It features a chrysanthemum on a blue backdrop.

Mr Nabetani uses a thin layer of blue-coloured crystal glass placed on top of colourless, transparent crystal glass. With cutting and gravure sculpting, the lower layer of colourless, transparent crystal glass emerges, creating a vivid contrast with the coloured crystal glass layer to make for a beautiful object, portraying imagery of the "Hydrangea".

The Ball assemblage carved on the vivid blue Crystal Glass in a tender form represents "Hydrangea." Have a look from above, and you can fully appreciate the meticulously engraved hydrangea pattern at the bottom and a beautiful garland of cuts.
