Founded almost half a century ago in 1957, Keizangama Kiln from Arita is always seeking new ways to present the tradition and beauty of Aritayaki while bringing 'comfortable living' into people's life.

The mg&gk is Arita ware that celebrates the little joy of mogumogu (munching) and gokugoku (drinking).

Instead of Arita porcelain's customary dark colours, artisans worked on mg&gk series' product development with the theme of "light and gentle" painting to give a soft impression.

The ingredients of the paint are carefully selected. The thin and juicy Gosu (blue pigment) painting is difficult to implement and can only be done one by one by veteran artisans. The artisans take great care of each brush stroke using light shades that bring the liveliness of the pattern, create soft impressions, and go well with any kind of food.

Undoubtfully, the finish is unprecedented.

Patterns in the mg&gk series are based on Kissho monyo, or Japanese traditional auspicious motifs -- Nami (wave), Shippo (seven treasures), and Asanoha (hemp leaves).?These auspicious patterns have been handed down since ancient times and give modern tableware a sense of luxury.?

The pattern depicts stars floating in the Seigaiha (wave), an auspicious motif for a peaceful life.
The motif is a glittering star floating in a calm sea.
